Therapy Dogs

At Indiana TelePsych NP, LLC, we know that animals can provide a very important service to mental health. For this reason, we sometimes have therapy dogs (Standard Poodles Bougie, Fancy, or Jack) in the office working with us (although we always try to make sure you are ok with having them there first). We strive to keep them on their best behavior, but they are still learning, and like all of us, they are works in progress. We hope you enjoy interacting with them, but if at any point you feel uncomfortable, please don't hesitate to speak up.

Emotional Support Animals (for Indiana Residents Only)

Emotional Support Animals are pets that are deemed important for your mental health by a medical professional. With this designation, your pet is legally allowed to live with you in your home or apartment even if pets are not otherwise allowed.

If you need to fly with your ESA, more rigorous testing can certify your companion for public access which will allow them to access public transportation along with you.

In addition to everything offered in the Emotional Support Dogs Package, this package also includes public access testing with a certified service dog trainer who legally can certify your pet safe for travel.

Psychiatric Service Dogs are dogs that aide their owner with particular tasks to help treat a mental health condition. These dogs are afforded full access anywhere other service dogs can go. Examples of just a few tasks these dogs might do include help with grounding, providing pressure, reminding a person to take medication, and waking an individual up during night terrors.
